I want an emo haircut but i think my hair's too thin. :(?

i have auburnish blonde hair that goes down a little past my shoulders and i reallly want an emo/scene haircut, without dying it or anything, well maybe highlights, but that's not the point. i'm worried it's too thin and it doesn't have enough volume to look awesome, and i'm going for the....big hair at the top....you know what i mean!

any advice? i don't know what to say to the hair cutter because i went once asking for a razor cut and she said it'll tear up my hair since it's so fine!

Thin hair is actually okay for Emo styles in my opinion. Don't get a razor cut but get choppy short layers and the whole emo bangs. Maybe have a sideswept fringe.

As for the styling, use BigSexyHair products or anything else to give you volume. Root lifters work for thin hair and you can also use a shampoo and conditioner that's made to thicken hair!

Try some different products, like a volumizer, different kind of hairsprays, gels, etc. Cause if you can't cut it, and it's too thin, then I guess there's not much other than that.

most of scene hair styles require thin hair

all you do to get volume on the top is either

1. get shorter layers on top

2. tease your hair on top and use volume spray

one girl in my science class has REALLY thin hair %26amp; she got layers in it. it looks TERRIBLE! if your hair is thin, don't get it cut into layers because the look you're going for on the top won't work. ask the hairdresser. if she says it won't work; it probably won't.

Just got my thin hair done up today.

make dure you have a professional sylist, they know how to do anything. Don't tell them to use only a rozor cuttor on thin hair, or just don't mention it. A good stylist will know what there doing. just go for it. Sometimes you have to be avdenturous. It might turn out to be the best thing for your hair that you did.
