Just be careful, because you will mess your hair up. If you insist on doing it at home, be sure you have someone to help you, and work from the bottom up so screw ups are less noticable.

Some people also have success with a narrow tooth comb woven with an unwaxed dental floss. Comb hair wet. This just pulls it out from the roots, but can also cause breakage if combed too fast or pulled to hard. This is a slower process, the is less likely to gap up your cut.

If you can handle having a shaved head.... do that every morning before school shave your head with a razor and do it for a month or more and then it will grow in thicker... it will work in any area... Head, Face, Legs....

If you straighten your hair, I would try straightening it up and let it fall down and hairspray it, or lift it up and hairspray it so it stays up.

Thin hair is actually okay for Emo styles in my opinion. Don't get a razor cut but get choppy short layers and the whole emo bangs. Maybe have a sideswept fringe.

As for the styling, use BigSexyHair products or anything else to give you volume. Root lifters work for thin hair and you can also use a shampoo and conditioner that's made to thicken hair!

make dure you have a professional sylist, they know how to do anything. Don't tell them to use only a rozor cuttor on thin hair, or just don't mention it. A good stylist will know what there doing. just go for it. Sometimes you have to be avdenturous. It might turn out to be the best thing for your hair that you did.

I agree with the rest of the girls, if you have a "longer" bang (cut to the top of your lip aprox) it can easily tuck behind your ear yet if you curl it or style it it will still be covering your face a little. Longer hair that's thin needs some layers to give it depth and body. I have Long Thin hair like you are describing. Also, sometimes if you dye it, that can give it some body, but be careful about perming and bleaching it. I dye my hair just a shade redder than my natural hair color so it isn't a major change it just perks up my overall look and helps give it some "oomph"

You don't have to cut your hair to give long hair some style, yet if it gets past your butt, it's hard to give it some style with out the rest of it weighing it down. Also, try layering your hair around your face, this helps with almost any face shape.

Also, some blow dry tips** Some say blowdrying upside down works, and this is true. Yet if you get a round brush preferable wire for thin hair, and brush in an upward direction while blowdrying it helps create some volume and gives a slight "bend" to the ends of your hair. I suggest that if you like your hair long that you adopt an updoo of sorts, or maybe even a ponytail or braid to keep your hair off your neck. If it's sticking to your neck maybe you perspire a lot, maybe you exercise a lot. But nevertheless, there are pretty styles of updoos. Try a knot and clip it...or try the ponytail and clip the end of that up. There are both pretty and plain clips and bands as well as colorful ones, ones with pretty bows to match your outfit.

There is procedure on a salon called hair relaxing, it straightens out hair making it always pointing towards the floor. I also have thin hair and having the same situation and it's now resolved by the treatment called hair relaxing. I could also make hair look gorgeous.

I'm vegitarian and have been for over 15 years now. I also have natural strawberry blond hair past my butt, and haven't had it even trimmed in nearly a decade, with only a small amount of split ends.

Here's the secret: The commericials for shampoo show the models with thier hair piled on top of thier heads with luxurious suds. Don't do that. That's just to make the shampoo look good. ONLY wash your hair down to the tops of your ears. That's as far as the oil can travel anyways. The rest of it will be cleaned when it rinses out and down. Then, condition from the ears down, or really, from the bottom up. That's where it actually needs it, since the oil from your head can't reach. If you really want a treat, spread an edible oil from your ends up, like grapeseed or olive. It totally soaks in and strengthens hair. It's a ancient folk treatment, and what the 'hot oil' craze was based on, even though the pharmacetical companies used mineral oil, which doesn't in fact soak in.... You have to wash it out with two shampooings, but you don't need conditioner after...

Hair grows, but it isn't a living thing. It can't heal or recover, so you must do you best to ensure that it doesn't damage in the first place. Nothing, not even expensive conditioners that claim they can repair, can do it. They only try to glue the ends with sticky stuff.

try a hot treatment by using African herbal oil. It's very cheap and has so many herbs including walnut oil,olive, kiwi, etc. U can find it in dollar stores and just heat the oil and rub into ur hair and scalp and put a towel over ur head for 10 mins. And trim the ends of ur hair for the split ends, and buy some good shampooand conditioner like Pantene. This is for all races actually and so cheap and u can put it in ur bath water also.
