is there anyother way... without using flat irons...

I don't know about making it longer unless you grow it out or unless you use weave but to get more volume you could do a body wrap before you dry your hair. After you wash it, part the top section of your hair into a square. Part it and put curlers in it. Once you use as many curlers as you can inside the parted area, wrap the other part of your hair outside the part around your head. Sit under the dryer until your hair dries. once you take out the curlers, comb down the wrapped part of your hair, comb through the curls apply oils or whatever hair grease you use and you should have more volume in your hair. I hope that helped.....If you don't have your own dryer that you can sit under, you could try going to a hair dresser and asking for a body wrap or just tell the person you would like more volume to your hair.

Yeah. Extensions.

Just kidding. My friend has hair like yours, I think. There is this texturizer stuff for black hair that we found at the pharmacy. I can't remember the name of it, but look for texturizer. Then we just styled her hair using the texturizer and some hair gel. Word of advice, though; load up on the conditioner and leave some in your hair so you don't damage it or dry it out.

do heat curers that you put on for like 5 minute. it will give it body and volume and not look like a curl. I have thin hair and so getting a perm will make it look Super thin like crazy.
