My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

my hair. is killing me.

and its a little damaged from being straitend 6 days a week (during school, but during the summer i only did it if i were going somewhere)

After my shower it is all frizzy, but a couple hours later, it is flat!

i use root lifters (paul michael) and hairspray (dove, flexible hold), but they don't help!!! and i use panteen spray in conditioner, but i'm trying to use it up and switch to auzzie spray in and heat protector.

i use auzzie root cleanser and tip mender (shampoo) and the "moist" conditioner cause my hair gets dry really easily.

My hair is exactly like yours. Correction: WAS exactly like yours. You see, over the years I have compiled every bit of information that would help to get my hair flawless. I shall now pass it to you. But be warned! Its long and kind of strange sounding at times, for a lot of it is "home remedies" sort of thing...

INGREDIENTS:

* your chooice of shamppo and conditioner (its best to use the same brands, and if you have the money get the really expesive types from the sallon)

* 1 banana

* 1 tablesspoon of olive oil

* 2 cups of milk

* 1 teaspoon of honey

* 2 tablespoons of salt (preferable sea salt, but plain salt is fine)

* 2 tablespoons of warm vinegar

* 1 cup of warm

* baby powder

STEPS (done once a month):

1) Place the banana and olive oil in a blinder and mix into a cream. Apply to dry hair like a mask.

2) warm the milk in the microwave and add the honey to it. mix these ingredients until the honey dissolves, then pour over hair on top of the mask (OVER THE SINK!)

3) Dissolve the salt into the warm water and pour over hair.

NOW ITS TIME TO GET INTO THE SHOWER (use everyday):

4) place the shampoo in your hands and then rub into the roots of your hair WITHOUT using your nails. Once lathered, scrunch the soapy foam through the rest of your hair. Rinse.

5) Cool the shower water down so that its about room temperature. Scrunch out the extra water and place in conditioner ONLY TO THE BOTTOM END OF YOUR HAIR. In other words, don't place any on the top of your head.

6) take the time to wash the rest of your body or whatever, but don't let your hair into the water for a couple of minutes.

7) cool down the shower more so that its pretty chilly, and rinse out completely.

MORE (do this once a month with the other steps):

8) After Doing your normal wash and patting your hair dry, take the warm vinegar and pour over your head.

9) Take a small bit of conditioner and rub it into the very bottom strands of your hair.

10) pour a small amount of baby powder on the top of your head and comb through your hair.

DONE!! Yes, I know it sounds really odd but I found it to work pretty well. If you find the vinegar and oil not settling well on your scalp jut rinse it out with cold water afterwords. That's what I do.

Do like I do. Shampoo mostly the roots and condition mostly the ends. Use a nice rich conditioner, and comb it through with a wide-toothed comb. Blot dry, squeezing the water out with your hands or a towel. Don't rub your hair with the towel. Blow dry only when you absolutely need to.

firstly, dont use Aussie. If you are on a budget, use Garnier Fructis shampoo/cond. Only wash your scalp if your hair is dry and frizzy. Apply shampoo to your hands, rub together, flip head upside down and wash only head in the shower. Apply conditioner one inch from scalp to ends. Use Biosilk or John Frieda to smooth out ends and blowdry. Both of these products available every drug and grocery store. Hot oil treatment weekly

You need to give it a break!! It may be just overloaded. I tried the tip mender and hated it!! Use a daily shampoo with a leave in conditioner. You don't need all the products they dry the hair out more. Use a protectant for flat irons on the hair after you blowdry and before you flat iron. Good Luck!!

I had that same problem until like a week ago when I randomly bought the Aussie Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. The shampoo gets rid of the excess oil but doesn't make it dry and the conditioner makes my hair soft but not oily. My hair hasn't been in this good of condition in a long time. Also try putting a little baby powder on your roots and rubbing it in. It'll keep your hair from getting oily and will make it more voluminous.

I think you are using to many products and perhaps some are to heavy for your hair type.

Buy a clarifying shampoo,this will remove any build-up on your hair. Build-up may be weighing down your hair.

Use clarifying shampoo for at least 3 days in a row.Shampoo hair and scalp. Condition hair not scalp.Then use clarifier 1 time a week to help prervent build up. Clarifying shampoo can dry out your hair if used to often.On other days use a shampoo and conditioner for normal hair.

Do not comb or brush hair flat to head, blow dry hair upside down, this will give lift.

On weekends do deep conditioning, shampoo, towel dry leaving hair damp, apply conditioner heavy and comb through with a wide tooh comb, wrap head with a hot wet towel (the water used to dip towel in should not be any hotter than you can stand on your hands, wring out excess water),leave up for 10 minutes.

When blow drying your hair straight, brush out and away from scalp.

When you brush hair next to scalp it stimulates the natural oil production and the hair absorbs it.

you could try going with a shorter hairstyle that is still cute and fun but easier for you to maintain. if you use less styling products you may get more mileage out of your hair.

SHAVE IT AND START OVER

i know all too well about this problem. my hairdresser uses a toner on my hair to give it volume and at the same time use a light conditioner. when i have the frizzies i use John Freida Frizzee on the ends so I dont look like a mad woman. Good Luck
