Should I worry that my kitten's hair is kind of thin around his ears?

My cat has a nice white and black coat of fur but I've noticed that right around his ears the hair is a bit thin. Is that normal?

no need to worry, it is completely normal. some breeds have thicker fur, others don't. plus it wont be as noticable later on in his life

Yup, it's normal.

Nope. I have a black and white cat. I call her a tuxedo cat cause the black looks like a jacket on her but anyway... her hair has always been thin infront of her ears. It has been that way since she was 6 weeks old (she is almost 2 years).

Unless it starts spreading out and more fur is thining I wouldn't worry.

Its not nice to point that type of thing out. Believe me your cat already knows.

Most breeds have thinned hair around their ears. I love cats.

It is normal to have what appears to be thin hair on a cat's head by the ears. It is only noticeable on shorthair cats, though, and you won't notice it as much when the kitten is older.

i believe the creator left less hair in this area in hopes of more light rays increasing the brains on the cat. cuz kitties are boobs!

all of my cats have this same "problem", so i don't think you should worry.
