I've tried rogaine..you have to apply it 3 times a day..and it's pricy..I'm trying some shampoo, conditioner, and drops my stylist recommended. I'm not sure that is working. What are some good options for hair regrowth?

i am using nioxin. i had gone to a number of stylists to get recomendations, and they all swear by it. i have been using it for about three months and i am noticing that my hair does not fall out. i am also getting hair growing in. it sucks cause i have to use it everyday, but i am liking the results. kinda pricy too. i am using system 2.

I also have very thin hair. In fact, when I was born, my mom says that I was practically bald. I didn't try any medication. What I can suggest is you should try using aloe vera-based shampoo and have frequent haircuts. If you like your hair long, I suggest have your hair curled (the permanent kind). Curly hair gives the illusion of having thick hair. What I am suggesting though is based on personal experience. I hope it helps!

i agree with first guy, its ok to want to make your self look nice but why do girls obsess about having big poofy *** hair? some pretty attractive girls have what i'm sure you'd call "hair that's lacks body"

i have the same problem and i've been taking vitamins and its helped stop the actual hairloss. i have heard that nioxin works well too but i havent tried it.....its pretty costly.

According to scientific books, hair growth does not occur continuously. It has latent periods too. For the average person, that would be about every two months. It would grow then stop again. It is actually the food you eat, not what you put on after that would strengthen your hair. These are protein sources, later converted to keratin, the hair protein.

The thickness and strength is dictated by genetics. The good news is that some products can help by "COATING" the hair. Any conditioner would do but Pantene has longer-lasting effects.

With regards to your question, hmmm...I'm not sure of the brand name but I think its Mane and Tail (?). It's a horse hair shampoo but many testify to its great magic. For a cost, it will coat your hair thicker and make it shiny--glossy and thicker actually.

For a more conservative approach, try what nature has to offer. Aloe vera is very effective. It would better if you purchase the real leaves rather than an aloe vera shampoo. Rub the pulp to your scalp. Another, coconut oil, is a very effective hair regrower. Put on a shower cap after applying. You can actually sleep on it. Just make sure you wash it well afterwards. I'm not sure if the products i said are available at your country but it sure is worth a try. You can substitute virgin oil, or any oil for that matter just not kerosene:), for coconut oil.

Additional pointers, avoid heavy products as these tend to stretch your hair and make it all the more thinner. And avoid layered cuts, unless of course for negotiations you can have with your consultant.

- Try curling your hair, but don't overdo it. Don't treat your hair very often too. Let it rest for at least 3 mos. before going for a rebond or a re-curl, etc.

There, I hope this helps.

Rogaine works with hair that begins thinning at the crown of the head. Almost no benefit for those who's thinning starts on the forehead.

A better option would be to buzz it all off. All your hair worries will be over.
